Flash's works in progress is Lifetime Companions: Love Never Dies, a book about her healing work with animals, and in particular their relationship with reincarnation. Flash is writing this book to both heal her own heart from the losses of beloved pets as well as facilitate that healing for others.Losing the unconditional love of a dear friend is the hardest part about loving an animal. She currently works with all animals, and especially loves her work in animal rescues with tigers, lions, monkeys, and horses. Many a "difficult" horse has turned into a sweet tempered "horse statue" when Flash uses her gentle and healing touch. Flash is passionate about her work with the animals Her work with tigers and lions at www.BigCatSanctuary.org has been some of the most fascinating and powerful of her life.When the Katrina hounds were pulled out of New Orleans, Flash was there to do emotional and spritual triage with flower essences and a lot of love. Warning: New Pet Foods Recalled

The ASPCA is advising pet parents to discontinue the use of certain dog and cat foods manufactured by Mars Petcare US. On September 12, the company issued a nationwide recall of certain foods due to potential contamination with a Salmonella serotype called Schwarzengrund. The recall includes several widely distributed brands of dry pet food, including Pedigree, Special Kitty, Paws & Claws, Natural Dog Food, Red Flannel, Country Acres, Buju & Ziggie, Member's Mark, Natural Cat Food, Retriever, Bruiser, Doggy Bag, PMI Nutrition and Pet Pride. "Pet parents should wash their hands after handling any potentially contaminated pet food," says Dr. Steven Hansen, the ASPCA's Senior Vice President of Animal Health Services, "and immediately consult with a veterinarian if any signs or symptoms are noticed in their pets."
